First Aid at Work

What is First Aid Training?

​

Where a workplace first aid risk assessment identifies a need for a First Aider in the Workplace, this three-day qualification is HSE approved and meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.

 

The learner will gain the knowledge and practical competence required to deal with a range of workplace first aid situations, including but not limited to:

 

  • Burns                         

  • CPR

  • Shock

  • Bleeding

  • Chocking

  • Breathing problems

  • Illnesses

  • Injuries

Who is it for?

​

Anyone can attend a First Aid training course, as the content & learnings are great life skills.

 

First Aid at Work (FAW) – designed for workplaces of a higher risk category (e.g. engineering, manufacturing, construction) and for workplaces with a variety of underlying health conditions (e.g. heart problems, diabetes, high blood pressure).

 

FAW also provides comprehensive training for those who are required to be the designated first aider within their workplace.

 

Emergency First Aid at Work – designed for workplaces of a lower risk category. This course is for staff required to be emergency first aiders or for those who wish to support a designated first aider trained via the FAW course.

I like the sound of the course, what is included?

  • HSE Approved - Meets requirements of Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulation 1981;

  • Fully qualified trainers; 

  • Interactive and informative sessions;

  • All course assessments and materials, including a First Aid At Work manual for each attendee;

  • Qualification Certificate will be posted out to attendees upon successful completion; 

  • Ofqual or SQA Accreditation regulated qualification (Subject to assessment);

  • We can help with venue search/bookings;

All our courses are regulated by First Aid Awards (FAA), delivered by qualified instructors and include and certification of qualification, accredited by Ofqual and SQA (Scotland). The qualification lasts for 3 years, after which time you  will be required to renew the qualification.
